Why is that when fault can be pointed at one person or a company the wiggle and squirm and try to make the customer look the fool instead of saying "We are sorry sir/madam we made an error and we will correct it for you".
That type of reply and a reply email - phonecall etc to confirm the correction would do far more good than harm to customer relations.
NS (in this case) and the lack of reply emails after receiving a complaint number is their biggest nightmare at the moment along with the Call Centre dilemma.

I was told NOT TO CHOOSE a plan, by a Netspace staff member, I think I did the right thing in NOT CHOOSING a plan, as I was directed to.

It's not my problem I was given instructions by a Netspace staff member, and they were followed as directed, and yet they stuffed those up.

Further, the instructions didn't say, choose a speed that matches your current speed, it said don't choose a plan at all. I did not select a plan, it just so happens the 512/512 was the default selected.

It's the web developers stupid fault for being such a bloody n00b. They know what plan I am on, it's like 5 lines of code to get that added to that list as the default selection. Laziness at best.

Further, a Netspace staff member gave me instructions to relocate, and email them that I wanted to stay on my same plan, I did exactly that. It's not my fault that after 3 emails, I still didn't get a reply until 1 week later.

It's their stupidity, not mine. Lack of planning at least.

So, when initiating the relocation, of all the speeds and plans etc you could have chosen, you went with an SHDSL plan, instead of, oh.. I dunno, one that reflects the right speed, if not the right downloads etc? Brilliant.

Sure, Netspace web dev screwed up with the option not being there, but you made it much worse by not thinking logically.

EDIT: Oh, we know who you are, you are posting to here from work, Mr. Netspace Staff Member :). You guys really take care of customers, posting to my blog with email addresses that aren't exactly PG (or work safe). "Eat Me Now" ? From a company that provides internet access to Victorian schools? Maybe the victorian government would be more interested in these comments as well, and your poor handling of a customer issue might be worthy of them knowing about so they can decide if they want to risk a stuffup themselves?
